Updated: 23 January 2022

Following the Prime Ministers announcement today, we wanted to let you know that all Imagination Station classes and Brickschool will continue to operate under the red traffic light setting.

At red, events like ours are able to go ahead with up to 100 people, or no more than one person per square metre, whichever is less. People do not need to stay one metre apart, although we do recommend this in the Imagination Station public play area, when you are around people you do not know. You can find out more at the COVID-19 website:

Dear Customers,

Tūranga, the building from which Imagination Station operates, has now been closed.

The Christchurch City Council announced at 4pm on March 21st that libraries will closed until further notice. Unfortunately, this means that all Imagination Station programmes and birthday parties over this period have been cancelled and will be fully refunded. Update: 10:44am Friday 20th March

Dear Customers,

As a precautionary response to Covid-19, Imagination Station is temporarily closing our public building areas as of Friday 20th March.

All after school classes, birthday parties and other paid/ticketed sessions will continue so long as Tūranga remains open.

Our play area is designed to promote interaction and collaboration. It is not designed for social distancing. As a responsible and caring organisation, we will continue to do all we can to help keep Christchurch families healthy. We will reopen this area as soon as possible.

The building experience results in close proximity of others, often much closer than the 1-meter recommendation for social distancing. No doubt this decision will come as a disappointment; however, we maintain that it is in the best interest of the community at this time.

We encourage you to keep up the creativity with games and activities at home!
